It's never too late to join Kendo. It is a lifelong journey that you can refine and improve continuously. Come join us for a trial and we're sure you'll like to continue further.

We intake Beginners all year around - kids / adults / first time / experienced transfers all are welcomed.
You do not need to purchase anything at this stage.
Reishinkan holds a 10 week Beginner course several times a year.

Step 2
Come to the dojo and experience Kendo!
Discussion with the dojo representative will lead you to visit the dojo at a particular date / time. If your schedule shifts, we can adjust, no dramas.
Once you come to the dojo, the representative will greet you and have you join the keiko. There's no charge for the trial while you decide to embrace Kendo further.
Step 3
Registration and Payment
The Kendo registration and fees come in two parts and the dojo representative will inform you step-by-step. Your membership is under Reishinkan Kendojo Sydney, and you will also need to register under the NSW Kendo Association (NSWKA). Payments are required when registering to each entity.
Step 4
Join the comms platform
The latest updates of Reishinkan is communicated via our comms platform. This information will be provided upon signing up the membership. Please take action immediately, so that you can receive the news thereafter.
Step 5
Enjoy the way of sword
Once you carry on with your Kendo journey, we will advise you when you would be best suited to purchase your gears, and to apply for gradings. There would be workshops, seminars and competitions that we may nominate you to represent Reishinkan. The Kendo community is there for you to grow your network at the Club, State, and National events.
