~Our Roots~
Kendo Renshi Yoshiyuki Usami sensei
Reishinkan Kendojo Sydney was found by Yoshiyuki Usami sensei in 2011. He had learnt Kendo through his childhood in Kyoto, under the Manazuru Kendo Association, where his grandfather and his father were both actively involved. After Usami sensei settled in Sydney, he founded Reishinkan at a small venue in North Ryde, where he has moved the location to current venue at East Roseville.
胆勇無双 Tan Yu Mu Sou
This Japanese idiom is Reishinkan's motto, and it refers to a state where one is not afraid of anything, and has courage more than anyone else.
Kendo Hanshi Yasuo Suzuki sensei
Yoshiyuki Usami sensei has had huge influence from Yasuo Suzuki sensei of Manazuru Kendo Association, Kyoto. Yasuo Suzuki sensei is the one an only who has achieved the Kendo Hanshi from the Manazuru province.
The roots of Reishinkan comes from Suzuki sensei's Kendo that he has taught Yoshiyuki Usami sensei.
剣心一如 Ken Shin Ichi Nyo
This Japanese idiom is one of Suzuki sensei's important message. This means Sword and Heart are always together, and you cannot decouple them.

~Brief History~
2011 - Reishinkan found
Reishinkan Kendojo Sydney is found by Yoshiyuki Usami Sensei. Trainings were held at North Ryde RSL dojo.
???? - Reishinkan moves to East Roseville
Reishinkan Kendojo moves to East Roseville Community Centre.
2024 Dec - Yoshiyuki Usami sensei receives Kendo Renshi title
Yoshiyuki Usami sensei receives his Kendo Renshi title.
???? - Reishinkan NT established
Reishinkan Kendojo extends to open Northern Territory, following the move of founding member Toshio Nishimoto Sensei.
2022 Mar - Reishinkan Musashikai established in QLD
Toshio Nishimoto senei moves and establishes Reishinkan Musashikai dojo in Cleveland QLD.
2013 Jan - Reishinkan moves to East Lindfield
Reishinkan Kendojo moves to East Lindfield Community Hall.
2024 July - Julie Feng sensei, third in the world
Julie Feng sensei appointed as captain of Women's Team to the World Kendo Championships in Milan, IT and leads the team to third place.

It is paramount that Reishinkan Kendojo Sydney remains a safe place for all members' Kendo journey. To keep such a safe environment, Reishinkan Kendojo Sydney has a number of members who are certified for a number of roles:

- Member Protection Information Officer
Reishinkan Kendojo Sydney is an accredited dojo of NSW Kendo Association. NSW Kendo Association is part of Australian Kendo Renmei, who has been part of the Natioanl Integrity Framework under Sports Integirty Australia, since 2022.
